Hey everyone, it's Evangeline, and today we have the Yakima HighSpeed Roof-Mounted Bike Rack. This is going to be a fork mounted rack that makes for an easier install, but also you are going to have premium features like locks and extra security, so make sure that your bike is safe when you need to transport it from point A to point B. The main things that make this stand out compared to other racks are you have a universal clamp strap design that sits very low profile on your crossbars. You have a low profile rack and you also have the torque right knob that prevents over tightening of your bike skewers. This will fit bikes to different shapes and sizes, whether you have a through axle or a quick release. Included with this rack is a quick release skewer. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the Yakima HighRoad Roof-Mounted Bike Rack, and we'll see how it fits our 2023 Kia Seltos. The HighRoad is gonna be a premium roof-mounted rack that allows you to carry your bike without having to take the front wheels off. It's simply a matter of loading it onto your roof, tightening it down, driving to your destination, and then when you get there, take the bike off as is. Compared to fork-mounted racks like the HighSpeed, this is gonna be helpful, 'cause you'll get out onto the trails that much faster. But the downside to this style of a rack is that you do have to lift your bike a little bit higher up to get it up into place, and I'll show you that later. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Yakima HighSpeed Roof-Mounted Bike Rack right here on our 2023 Kia Seltos. So for your Seltos, if you're planning on carrying around bikes, but maybe you don't have a hitch yet, so you can't carry a bike rack on your hitch receiver, or you have a roof rack and you're just looking for something that's gonna work with that roof rack you already have, well, the Yakima HighSpeed is gonna be a fork-mounted rack that I recommend looking into. Because it's a fork-mounted rack, you do have to find an alternate location for your front wheel. Fortunately, that can be stored in the hatch very easily. I recommend the HighSpeed if you maybe struggle with lifting your bike super duper high up because this brings the bike a little bit closer to the roof and you don't have to lift as high as the HighRoad, which is the wheel-on version of this rack. Another reason you might be interested in the HighSpeed is because you can add locks to this rack. more

Rhino Rack Roof Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Seltos- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer and today we have the Rhino-Rack XTray Pro and we're gonna take a look at how this roof basket fits on our 2023 Kia Seltos. So the X-Ray Pro is gonna be your larger roof basket, which means you can carry more cargo, but it also has two through axle skewers. So if you also wanna carry around your bikes, you can do so, but depending on your through axle, you may need to get extra parts sold separately in order to fit this specific basket. What we're gonna focus on though is does it fit this specific vehicle So on our Seltos, look at how nicely it fits on our roof. With the dimensions of our basket, the width is gonna be very important and you can see that with the rails on each side, it almost fits flush to those rails, creating all that cargo space without looking too bulky. Now with your roof rack, that might change things up a bit. more

There's a lot to this bike rack, and it can carry a wide variety of bikes with a weight capacity of 67 pounds, that's a lot of weight capacity, so if you're limited by anything, it would actually be your capacity of lifting a bike up and onto your roof, so let's start there. more

SeaSucker Talon Vacuum Cup Bike Rack Review- Video

This uses vacuum cups to mount it directly to your vehicle and that way you can carry around a single bike. If you do like this style but you need to carry around more bikes, you can get more of the SeaSucker Talon or you can take a look at the SeaSucker Mini Bomber or Bomber as multiple bike options. So depending on your bikes, you may be interested in the Talon MAX, which has the different adapters for your different thru-axles. Check out our descriptions to make sure it matches your bike but if you aren't interested in getting your bike onto your roof, but maybe you don't have a roof rack, you can't have a roof rack, you want something that's faster and easier than getting an entire roof rack and a roof mounted bike rack. more

Yakima Roof Bike Racks Review - 2019 Ram 1500- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima HighSpeedhigh Roof-Mounted Bike Rack, here on our 2019 Ram 1500. Now clearly, we don't have this on the roof, but with our truck, we have a variety of different options for crossbars over the bed. We've got ours mounted onto the tracks of a tonneau cover here, so we've got that above bed storage. This is perfect for things like a bike rack, 'cause you don't have to reach up nearly as high for the roof of your truck or on the ladder rack of your truck. Now the HighSpeed here is going to be a fork-mounted bike carrier, which means we've got the front wheel off, and it's held in at this clamp front. It comes with a nine-millimeter quick-release skewer, but we'll also work with a variety of different size through-axles. more

Review of SeaSucker 15-mm x 100-mm Fork Mount Bike Rack - SEA57VR- Video

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this SeaSucker fork mount bike rack. This is going to allow you to carry a bike with a 15 millimeter by 100 millimeter through axle skewer on your SeaSucker monkey bars roof rack. This is going to be compatible with the SeaSucker monkey bars roof racks that you see on the screen there. So if you have either one of those, this system is going to clamp right onto those bars in seconds, and the husky fork mount here is going to clamp onto the monkey bars on the front bar, and then this rear wheel tray will clamp onto the rear bar. So you will need to remove your front tire, get it put in place here, but then your rear tire just strap in place with this hook and loop strap to make sure it's nice and secure. more

What you see right here is the Yakima HighSpeed roof mounted fork mount bike rack. This is gonna be a really good bike rack to put up on your roof to free up that hitch first, most stuff. There are gonna be two HighSpeed roof rack kits on our website. The one we're looking at today gives us two options for mounting. Right now we're utilizing the T-track on our aftermarket bars on our roof to get it secured down but it's not going to make it any more low profile than the straps that come on it normally. These are very low profile but the one reason why the T-slots are very nice is, notice how it's mounted right above our tower. more

Thule FastRide Roof Bike Rack Review- Video

If you don't have a hitch, you don't want a hitch or you're just using the hitch for something else the Thule FastRide is a great way to get a bike mounted up on top of your roof rack. If you don't got a roof rack, we have those as well. This is gonna be a channel-mount or a wraparound-mount and this is gonna be good for your thru-axle bikes or also your fork-mounted bikes. So, in this video we're gonna go over some specs show you how to install it and see how it performs on the road. When you're setting up your crossbar spread we wanna make sure it's not gonna be any less than 18 inches from the center of your crossbar to the center of the other crossbar and we don't want it to be any more than 36 inches. So, whenever you're setting that up it's usually gonna be about in the same bounds as your other accessories. more

Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota RAV4 TH535- Video

Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we have our 2019 Toyota RAV4 N and we are test fitting the Thule Thruride roof mount platform rack. This is an axle mount, as you can see, we have our front wheel removed. Simply toss this in the back, makes it easier to load our bike on top of our roof, without the weight of the front wheel. It would seem like it doesn't add that much, but it actually does. We've installed some up here that you have to lift the entire bike up and removing the front wheel does make a significant difference.This is a great way to get our bike to our favorite destination, without having to try to figure out how to fit it into the rear hatch area of her vehicle. more

Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Tacoma- Video

John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we have our 2019 Toyota Tacoma, we're test fitting the Inno Tire Hold II Roof Mount Bike Rack. This is a great way to get your bike to your favorite destination without taking up your truck bed space or adding a hitch mount bike rack to the end of your vehicle and adding length to it. The Tire Hold II can hold up to a 50 pound bike with a max tire width of two and three quarter inches, it can accommodate up to a 29 inch diameter wheel and a 48 inch wheel base. Your wheel base is going to be from a center of one axle to the center of your other axle.I would like to point out that this bike rack does come with a cable lock, wrap it around your bike and feed it in through this hole here, which this latch will come over the end of the cable lock and secure your bike to the bike rack.Let's get our bike down and then we'll give you some dimensions and see how this bike rack interacts with the Tacoma specifically. If you'd like to know I'm about six foot tall and since our Tacoma sits higher, I do need to get a step stool to safely remove the bike from the pickup. more

That's what's going to be the big deal about this specific bike rack just because it's just going to clamp onto your tire here on front, and it's just going to strap around your wheel in the back. This is a bike carrier that's going to mount to either your square or round bar roof rack system, and it's going to allow you to get one bike loaded up on top of your roof so you can transport it to and from your destination. It is a fork mounted carrier, so you will have to remove your front wheel. Just keep in mind you'll have to store that somewhere. Most likely just going to be in your vehicle.
